Royal Queensland Show 2011

Grand Champion Bull at the Brisbane EKKA 2011 was awarded to Elara Black Hawk, exhibited by Elara Brangus. The young bull was selected from the largest class of the day featuring 13 exhibits, impressing the judge with his keen nature, mobile manner and excellent structure. Third placing in this class was Elara Marty, also exhibited by Elara Brangus. The three placegetters in this class also featured in the top three placings in a similarly strong class at the Toowoomba Feature Show in April 2011 and the Lismore Feature Show in October 2011.

Elara Brangus was also successful in the female classes, with the winner of the 20-30 month female class, Elara Charlene, being sashed Reserve Senior Champion and their group placing second in the Breeder’s Group.

Toogoolawah Show 2011

Elara Brangus entered the commercial trade cattle section in the Toogoolawah Show 2011. Entries were submitted in two grain fed classes with Elara winning both classes.

The Champion Pen of Grain Fed Steers or Bullocks was bred and exhibited by Elara Brangus. The pen was also the winner of the Pen of Three Steers or Bullocks Bred and Owned by the Exhibitor and Showing No More than Two Permanent Teeth. This pen had an average weight of 612kg, milk teeth and an average age of 21 months. Elara also won the class of Pen of Three Steers under 600kg liveweight showing no more than Four Permanent Teeth, with milk tooth steers at an average age of 20 months.

Toogoolawah Brangus Feature Show 2010

At the Toogoolawah Brangus Feature Show in 2010, Elara Brangus exhibited cattle in the Commercial Trade and Stud Cattle Section. It was an extremely successful show for Elara, where in the Stud Cattle Section Elara won in every class entered. In the Commercial Trade Section, Elara was awarded the most successful Brangus exhibitor.

It was also the last show for Elara Beryl 4th, who was exhibited at four shows and won in every class she entered. It was the debut show for Elara Marty and Elara Charlene.

Pen of Pasure Fed Males - Pen of three steers showing no permanent teeth, suitable for domestic market, under 480kg liveweight

Royal Queensland Show 2009

Elara Delvine could not go to the Brisbane EKKA 2009 as she was due to have a calf. So Elara Beryl 4th was Elara’s only female exhibit and won first place in the Class Heifer 20 months and under 30 months, and then proceeded to be awarded with Senior Champion Cow or Heifer.

Gympie Feature Show 2009

From Beef 2009, the show team headed straight to the Gympie Feature Show. This time Elara Beryl 4th and Elara Delvine both won their individual classes, with Elara Delvine awarded Junior Champion Heifer.

Elara Brangus was also awarded second of nine groups in the Breeders Group and second in the sire’s progeny group.

Beef Australia 2009

Elara Brangus made their debut to the show circuit in 2009 at Beef 2009.  

Elara Beryl 4th and Elara Delvine were paraded in two different classes. Elara Beryl 4th was awarded first in her Class Heifer 19 and under 21 months and then proceeded to win Reserve Junior Champion Heifer. Elara Delvine was awarded third place in her Class Heifer 17 and under 19 months.
